1949

Cav. Vincenzo Farina senses the entrepreneurial potential linked to the numerous breakdowns of heavy vehicles due to the failure of fastening components.

He decided to found OME, at the time a manufacturer of nuts for the automotive and heavy haulage market.

Foundation

1960

OME specialized in the production of buy-off items. It’s in this historical context that the company took its first steps in the OIL & GAS sector, in addition to non-standard parts and the production of tie rods, screws, inspection caps and nuts.

The quality control of products and processes was the vision that guided the development of OME. The company achieved in these years the first international product certifications.

The goal of these years was to increase production efficiency, while maintaining constant control over the quality of products and processes. This approach to the markets led to the acquisition of Hexagonal, which is specialized in the production of nuts.

In these years OME consolidates its production processes, increases the level of Customer service and moves towards new markets.
